It all started in 2007 when two friends got together to talk about the Honor Harrington Series written by David Weber. They wanted to honor the strong character-driven story, set in a great universe, but soon discovered that no such fan organization existed. After a year of conversation and hard work, the groundwork was laid for The Royal Manticoran Navy Fan Association. By 2009, the newly formed fan association was able to open a dialogue with David Weber and present him with ideas and an outline for an organization. Then in 2011, the humble fan association became the 'official' fan association or The Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, Inc. (TRMN for sort).

TRMN is the primary fan association for Honor Harrington and the Honorverse. As a fast-growing fan association, we have excellent resources in place to support our members. Our Bureau of Planning can help with recruitment, the Bureau of Ships can help with the formation of local chapters, and we can then offer training through our Bureau of Training. The Bureau of Personnel will help you manage, recognize, and promote your members and the Bureau of Supply stands ready to outfit you in sharp-looking uniforms, awards, and other Honorverse swag.

Our Board of Directors and its various committees work hard with all members of the organization to ensure that we bring to you the most professional fan experience possible. We have put into place communication tools that are second to none, including: this website, the Mantipedia Wiki, our many group pages on Facebook, and the many Discord servers and channels we curate.
